Growing up, sport was everything to me — football and running, in particular. The plan was Leeds University to study physiotherapy, but I flunked my exams. I ended up at Sunderland reading physiology, before being asked to leave in second year. A year at Edge Hill studying business management followed, but it wasn’t really for me either.
With student debt mounting, I took a job in telesales for an internet company. I quickly realised I was good at selling but the company wasn’t great at delivering. That sparked the idea behind Paramount: if you could sell a service that genuinely delivered, recommendations would do the rest.
Nine years on, we’ve built an outstanding team and an agency I’m genuinely proud of.
In short, I’m a salesman who can talk the talk, but I’ve got the team to walk the walk.
