PPC Campaign sees impressive uplift in Conversion Rate

The Brief

Our long-standing SEO client, CJ Auto Service, came to us wanting to do more with their digital marketing so we began running a PPC campaign to drive enquiries for the 5 key vehicle makes they specialise in.

Due to the nature of this industry, they were getting bogged down by calls for irrelevant makes and this was taking up a lot of their time.

Our Approach

We set a local campaign targeting general ‘service’ terms since the average order value on a full service is higher than one-off repairs. All our key terms included one of the five main makes of vehicle. Early on in our strategy, we implemented a landing page designed by our in-house team, saw 3.4% CVR uplift.

We worked with our client to phase out the other irrelevant makes and the feedback over the months has been positive in that we are headed in the right direction. To achieve this quicker, we decided to run ads on Microsoft as well as Google to increase our visibility across different audiences. This came with a separate click spend but the value was proved with us earning the client 24 leads per month on average since we started running this separate campaign on Bing.

The most recent addition to our strategy has been to implement a call tracking software which has provided additional insight into how we are targeting users of the main vehicular makes.

The Result

After a thoughtful learning period involving search term auditing, A/B tests on bidding strategies, ad copy, and match types, we made quick decisions in response to the account’s performance. In the 9 months between the client’s first full month with us and the most recent, we grew conversions by 393% and reduced cost per conversion by 75.3%.

Additionally, the implementation of a PPC landing page by our dedicated graphic design team, caused an uplift in conversion rate by 12.8% from 10.87% to 23.68%.
